mmm

i love chocolate milk, especially after running. so you can imagine my joy when i read in runner's world just the other day that chocolate milk is one of the best things to drink after a workout. apparently it has just the right amount of sugar, protein, and minerals to replenish what you lose during a workout. win-win-win. 

did you also know that running can actually cause some red blood cells to burst from impact? which, naturally contributes to susceptibility to anemia. i did not know that.

my running club was cancelled  again this week-not so much for the snow, but for the frigid temperatures and wind chills. which meant that i had to work out on the treadmill and elliptical. that was not cool. but, i got to watch jeopardy and the biggest loser. so that was cool : ) i was inspired and actually ran the 4 miles that i was supposed to have run tonight with the running club. 

in other news, i've done lots of reading, studying, and paper writing today. THAT is what's up today. exciting life, i know.
