how is it that i had an entire day off, and am still only managing to do my laundry now, at 8:39 pm? seriously. i'm getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to drive to ohio to see the matriarchs of the family--my mom and grandma. so that's the news i guess.
i was in borders today, and saw something rather disturbing. the "young adult section" sign had a little asterisk (*) so i followed it down to the fine print, only to read something like "parent discretion advised: some books may contain mature content." wha???? since when should kids books have mature enough content to warrant a parental advisory? we're not talking about classic literature here, we're talking about poorly written chicklet lit that lacks substance, but apparently contains raunchiness. awesome. i also spent about 45 minutes and $25 at the happiest place on earth, Target.
and that, my friends is the news. watching a movie later tonight, then turning in early for the "roadtrip" tomorrow. i'll be back on monday. happy weekend to everyone and happy spring break to all you grad school kids out there.
